How often do you
say "I Love you" with out an expectation of hearing it echoed back?
The phrase "I
love you," People say it, but how many of us really understand what it
means-- what it really
means-- to love another. We understand what it means to need another,
to want something from another, and even to be willing to give something in
return for what we need and want, but we seldom understand what it means to
truly love. Many of us have had a real challenge, with this word "love",
and this phrase "I love you".
Know that
everything you need in life . . . all the love, all the wisdom, all the
insight, all the power, all the knowledge, all the understanding, all the
nurturing, all the compassion, and all the strength . . . resides with in
each of you.
Remember that
you are not in a relationship with another in hopes of
getting these things,
but in hopes of giving
these gifts, that the other might have them in even greater abundance.
There will be
times when you might forget these things, so if you find a trying moment,
remember being right is just an opinion, and no more accurate than any other
opinion; so ask yourself;
"Would
I rather be right or would I rather be happy?"
